My Experiences: Jamaica

Jamaica. A land of beauty, and happiness. Visiting this country for a week was something I was fortunate enough to do. Upon first arrival, I saw just how third world it really was. Seeing children coming from their schools, was something I was hit by the most. Comparing my current school that has spent millions in construction to the schools I was viewing now, was unbelievable, I understood just how lucky I was, and why had I been so fortunate? out of pure chance of being born into a family that was in a fortunate country. Pure chance. It amazed me, how all of this in today's society and world, was down to something as unstable yet beautiful as chance.
I saw houses that were what us brits would refer to as 'sheds' and the most amazing thing of all, I saw happiness. Everywhere. It shed light on the concept that it truly doesn't matter what you have or haven't got, there are so many things to find happiness in. It is only the society you are brought up in that tells us we shouldn't be happy unless we are bathed in materialism and self appreciation.

So remember people, be happy, because if you are happy, you are unstoppable, you are powerful, and that's exactly what they don't want you to be, because when you are these things, you are edging a life of endless possibilities that society cannot control.

Be endless, be impossible, be happy.
